Giant Bird of Paradise

Description

The bird of paradise is one of the most spectacular and impowering flowering plants you will ever witness. Their native area is South Africa, where they are commonly known as the Crane Flower. They can tower extremely high some and can grow very quickly with the correct conditions and environment. They have gigantic leaves that are shaped like a paddle. In ancient times, the leaves were used to fan down people in hot climates.

Care instructions:

They are very easy to care for and are a perfect choice for a towering houseplant. They can be exotic and produce beautiful flowers that looks similar to a tropical flight bird. However, they are unlikely to flower inside as they need  at least 6 hours direct sunlight.

Recommended for the Bird of Paradise is bright indirect light indoors, but they can survive with low level light. If placing outside, then direct sunlight will make the Bird of Paradise grow rapid, therefore, placed in part shade part sun would be ideal.

Feed every two weeks or once a month in the winter time with plant fertilizer. Let the soil dry out between watering and avoid over watering as this could cause root and pests to appear.

Non-toxic to animals as some do love gnawing on these plants.

There are three grades to choose from:

1. Young Giant Bird of Paradise
   Supplied in a 23cm black plastic nursery pot — approximately 6L.
   Plant heights are approximately 85cm to 110cm tall.
2. Tall Giant Bird of Paradise
   Supplied in a 32cm to 34cm black plastic nursery pot.
   Plant heights are approximately 150cm to 180cm tall.
3. Extra Large / Statement Giant Bird of Paradise
   Supplied in a 40cm black plastic nursery pot.
   Plant heights are approximately 2.3m to 2.5m tall.
